Testimonial

"Here's a story that will make you hire Rob.

Based on the findings of a home inspection report Rob was contracted to treat termites around a garage at one of my listings. When he arrived at the property on a preliminary inspection Rob realized that the home inspector had made a mistake and that the damage was water damage and not from termites. He then contacted the home inspector and had him reverse his report so that the buyers lender would not demand treatment for financing. The bottom line is Rob's action cost him his typical fee for treatment and saved the client money.

Rob could have treated the property when it wasn't required, collected his fee and moved on and everyone party to the transaction would have been none the wiser.

But, because of his high integrity he went out of his way to save the customer money even though it cost him time and he received no compensation.
That's integrity and someone you can trust to do the job right and see it through.”

Bed Bug Information
Biology and Behavior

What are Bed Bugs?

Bed Bug is a small wingless insect that feed solely upon the blood of warm blooded animals and people. Certain kinds inhabit bird nests and bat roosts and await the return of their hosts; others have adapted well to living in the homes of people. Colors range from nearly white (just after molting), a light tan, deep brown or burnt orange. The host’s blood may appear as a dark red or black mass within the bug’s body. Because they never develop wings, Bed Bugs can't fly. When disturbed, bed bugs actively seek shelter in dark cracks and crevices. Because many other kinds of small brown bugs may be discovered, it is critical to ensure that the bugs are correctly identified. Bed Bugs occur in all parts of the world. Bed Bugs became relatively scarce during the latter part of the 20th century, but their populations have resurged in recent years, particularly throughout parts of North America, Europe, and Australia. They are most abundant in rooms where people sleep, and they generally hide nearest the bed or other furniture used for sleeping. Bed Bugs are most active in the middle of the night, but when hungry, they will venture out during the day to seek a host. Their flattened bodies allow them to conceal themselves in cracks and crevices around the room and within furniture. Favorite hiding places include the bed frame, mattress and box spring. Clutter around the room offers additional sites for these bugs to hide, and increases the difficulty in Eliminating Bed Bugs once they have become established.

What do Bed Bugs look like?

Bed Bugs are oval flat and wingless insects about 1/4" to 3/8" long. Colors range from nearly colorless(newly hatched, about 1/6") to brown or purplish-red, depending on its last meal. If you need an RI Bed Bug Exterminator call Rob.

Do Bed Bugs bite?

Yes Bed Bugs Bite. Bed Bugs need a blood meal every time they molt or grow and when they lay eggs. Bed Bugs can live for over a year without feeding, but they like to feed every 5 to 10 days. If you want a FREE Bed Bug Inspection call Rob.

What are the signs of me having Bed Bugs?

Signs Could be Insect Bites that you got in bed. Very Small Spots of Blood in your bedding or pajamas. Small strange looking skins that resemble a bug. What do Bed Bug bites look like?

Bed Bug Bites look different on everyone. A red bump is a red bump. Bed Bug Bites can look like a Flea Bite, a Mosquito Bite or a Tick Bite. Some people don't react at all. Some people get terrible welts that take weeks to heal. Bed Bug bites MAY bite in threes, in clumps or just one (same as other insects). Confirming an infestation on bites alone is impossible. You need evidence: a Bed Bug, molted casings, blood spots (looks different than a nose bleed, a cut from shaving or a scratch)

How did I get Bed Bugs?

Bed Bugs for the most part hitch rides on people of things. They enter your home on your clothes, in your bags, on old AND new furniture. Bed bugs can be found anywhere. You can find Bed Bugs in movie theaters, in a bus or cab, airplanes, hotels and even in clothing stores.

What do other Bed Bug Companies charge?

As the threat of Bed Bugs throughout the country worsens and the media coverage grows, pest control companies charge more and more for Bed Bug Control Services. As an average, most Pest Control Companies Charge from $600.00-$800.00 PER ROOM. Cobra Pest Control considers this highway robbery. The reason for these high prices is partly because very few Pest Control Companies actually provide Bed Bug Control Services. To justify these high costs other Pest Control Companies use scare tactics and convince their customers that you need to treat the Bed Bug Problem up to 3 times. Cobra Pest Control will never use these tactics. Cobra Pest Control has been providing Bed Bug Control Services in Rhode Island way before it was considered a major problem.
